Straight to the words
Pigs & Points

Who is writing

Behind the pigs

We write about one game in detail and point at the shops that stock it. That is the whole arrangement, and it explains most of what this site does and does not do.

What we actually do

We keep the rules of one game straight. That sounds narrow, and it is, but the game has six landings, three ways to ruin a turn, a scoring table that people misread, and a history stretching back to 1977. Written down properly it fills a site. Written down badly it fills the first page of every search, which is roughly where we came in.

Every number here comes from one place and gets printed from it: the scores, the odds, what is in the box. Where the sources genuinely disagree we say so on the page instead of picking whichever version sounds most confident. There are six of those disagreements and we would rather you knew about them.

The shelf

The editions and the cases are here because people ask which box to get, and the honest answer changes depending on whether you want the cup, the tin or the oversized foam ones. We do not hold stock, take payment or pack anything. Each box links out to a retail partner, and everything after that click is between you and them.

What we are not

We are not the publisher. The game is made by Winning Moves Games USA and designed by David Moffat; we are readers of the same box you are. If you need a replacement pig or a warranty, that conversation belongs with them or with the shop.

There is no shop here and no counter to stand at: the site is a desk and an inbox, and everything on it is read and answered by a person.

Letters reach us at a rented mailbox:

Please do not send a box back to us. Parcels going back belong with the retailer that sold them, and one sent our way would sit unopened.
